I would like to introduce myself,

my name is Aimee Alumbaugh, and I am a graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Minor in Psychology.  I am a Registered Nurse, a certified Personal Trainer, a certified instructor of the MoveBeyondPainŽ chronic pain management program as well as a certified Ultimate 6 Trigger Point insturctor.  My clinical experience has been in Family practice and Research with a focus on Fibromyalgia, Chronic Low Back Pain, Diabetes, Infertility, and Cancer.

I have opened Mindful Exercise & Therapy, LLC in order to work with people who want to improve their health, as well as those living with chronic pain and fatigue. Everyone will receive an individualized program designed to meet their personal needs. Living with chronic pain and fatigue is frustrating for the individual, their family, and their medical provider. I want to help ease the frustration for all involved by improving muscular strength, flexibility, balance and coordination, but most importantly to help improve their quality of life.

I first went to a personal trainer after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I did everything that my doctor and physical therapist told me to do but I was just not getting back to where I wanted to be physically, mentally, and emotionally. Once I started seeing my personal trainer on a regular basis I realized that I felt better and I was happier. I was not the only one who noticed the difference, my family could see the change as well. Within a few months I did not need as much medication and within a year I had completed 2 triathlons.

One of my goals, as a trainer, is simple I want to help my clients feel the best they can through knowledge, direction, encouragement and empowerment. I see each relationship as a collaboration, working together to make things happen.
